I have loved photography since my father gave me a Nikon FM camera at age 17. I used that camera for many decades photographing landscapes and travel sites until accidently dropping it in salt water! Heartbreaking as that was, it ended up being a good thing as it forced me to finally get a digital camera several years ago.
Digital photography has opened up new loves for me of photographing everything from stars and the Milky Way, to hummingbirds and dragonflies. I have also been able to create more elaborate abstract photographic images that I may not have been able to do so quickly with my old beloved Nikon FM.
I retired from the banking industry in 2021 and I am now enjoying my days photographing the beautiful birds and other wildlife Virginia has to offer. I like my photos to give the viewer the feeling they were there in person, or draw them in and give them a sense of wonder.
